The Castle That Shaped England
This short, but engaging overview features the great and ancient Bamburgh Castle in north-east Northumberland and its significance in the shaping of England as a nation. Intended as a leisurely experience integrated with my deep love for Anglo-Saxon English history, I also wanted to document the castles history and its relationship to the eventual founding of the English nation, and its culture.
Behind The Scenes
Visiting Lindisfarne Island and Bamburgh Castle involved a tight schedule and a coherent route planner for directions to make this experience possible, considering the duration of the stay was one night. Over the course of a few hours filming at these locations, enough footage was dedicated to developing a brief documentary-like opener.
